Kate Crozier

Director of Programs
Prior to working at CJI, I have spent most of my career working with women impacted by violence. Additionally, working with young offenders, homeless and marginalized women, I have wanted to focus my career on working with people who are committed to creating a safe and fair society. I obtained my M.A. in Leadership from the University of Guelph and I found myself surrounded by a talented network of people seeking to change the status quo. I love being a part of the restorative justice movement because we can tackle these barriers on both a personal and a societal level. For me, one of the best parts of working in the Stride program is that as a result of the relationships we create between women who are federally sentenced and volunteers, there are ripples of benefit that extend into our community and beyond. Outside of work I love to spend time outdoors running and skiing with good friends and family.

During our 40+ year history, we have continuously responded to community needs by creatively, and innovatively applying restorative justice principles to new problems. We believe the only limit to the power of restorative justice is the capacity of the human heart to change and grow.
