Stride Night training prepares you to participate in our Stride Night Program hosted at Grand Valley Institute for Women.
Stride Circles training equips volunteers to support criminalized people in the community.
The next Stride Night volunteer training will happen in September of 2024. Follow the instructions below to apply.
Steps to become a Stride Night Volunteer:
Stride Night training is an in-person 12-hour training that happens over 4 evenings. After volunteering with us for a minimum of 6 months, you are eligible to take the Stride Circles Training to help train you to offer reintegration support.
Stride Night training is valued at the price of $200. These fees help sustain the work of Stride, as we rely on donations to run most of our programs which are not funded, or are under-funded. We also believe in the importance of accessibility in volunteering, and accept a smaller contribution, or no contribution. You will see the pricing options on the training registration page.
*Reliability Clearance Process: Successfully completing this process is a requirement for entering into Grand Valley Institution for Women. If you have lived outside of Canada within the last 5 years, additional paperwork will be necessary for the clearance. We provide more information about this during the application process, and you can contact us if you have any questions.
Please email Bernice at berniceb@cjiwr.com if you have any problems with registration.
