Chartered Community Mediator Designation-Information Night

Chartered Community Mediation (CCMed) Designation Information: Community Justice Initiatives is a proud member of the Ontario Community Mediation Coalition (OCMC/CMCO)/Coalition de Mediation Communautaire De L’Ontario (CMCO). OCMC/CMCO is a network of community mediation services in Ontario who live out the values of social justice, equity, accessibility and anti-discrimination; and commitment to creating peaceful communities who are able to have productive conversations with each other when there has been conflict and harm.

We are excited to announce that OCMC/CMCO has created a Chartered Community Mediator (CCMed) designation to recognize advanced knowledge and practice in community mediation. As a community mediation volunteer with Community Justice Initiatives, you have the option to work toward and apply for the CCMed designation as an acknowledgement of your valuable contribution to, and advanced skills in, building peaceful communities.

Applying for the CCMed designation is voluntary and not a requirement for your ongoing work with CJI’s Mediation Services. This is a way to acknowledge the work you do in our community and the quality of work done by Community Mediation Services across Ontario.
